We are just about halfway through our time here in Cusco. Here are some of our fave pics from walks in and around town.

Pretty little street scene. We stumble across his sort of thing all the time on our walks. Love the colors and designs here in Cusco.

    So many different kinds!

Saqsayhuaman after the Festival of the Sun – taking down the bleachers. The largest part of the Festival of the Sun is a pageant re-enactment of Incan celebrations that takes place here at Saqsayhuaman. This is two days after the celebrations. The bleachers are all down and ready to be picked up.

Hostel kitty. This is primarily a dog town, but occasionally we see a cat.

Iglesia de Compania de Jesus. The Jesuits started construction of this church on the same plaza as the Cathedral 11 years later. It created a huge controversy as the Archbishop didn't want it to rival his masterpiece and demanded they stop construction. But the Jesuits were smart. They allowed the Archbishop to send word to the Pope to see what his opinion was. By the time word got to Italy and then back to Peru, the Jesuits' church was complete. Isn't it beautiful?
