Our travels have brought us to Ireland this month, as we kick off the European leg of our trip.
Last week, we flew into Dublin to be reunited with Kyle’s brother and explore the city before heading out into the countryside. Here are a few photographic memories of our time in Dublin last week. We’re off on a road trip of SW Ireland this week…more photos and stories from our drive coming soon.

The Campanile (bell tower) at Trinity College on a rare sunny day during our time in Dublin. Students believe it is bad luck to pass underneath it while the bells are ringing. To do so means you will fail your classes that term.

The Long Room at Trinity College Library. The largest library in Dublin, this historic room holds many of the more valuable older volumes. We spent quite a bit of time wandering in here, checking out all the books and busts of famous writers. It is our favorite place in Dublin.

Reflection of Christchurch Cathedral in a rain puddle. I was contemplating how to wade through this puddle to continue down the path when I realized that it was showing a beautiful reflection of the building

Our first night in Dublin, the Watts Brothers were reunited for the first time in several years. Kyle’s brother, Paul, took us to one of his favorite pubs to celebrate over a few pints.

Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on a rainy, moody morning. Closed for a bit of restoration, we were still able to wander the grounds.

Lamppost on the River Liffey. We wandered along the river for quite some time on our first morning. We were so taken with the calmness and reflections on the river…and these seahorses were just beautiful in the light.

Kyle at Guinness. We spent the better part of a day at the Guinness Storehouse, exploring the museum, learning how to properly pour a pint, and geeking out over everything Guinness.

One of the colorful pubs in Dublin. We were wandering along the Liffey the afternoon we landed in Dublin, fighting the jet lag, when we came across this beautiful storefront.
