{Nothing beats the donut case at Rebel Donuts here in ABQ. After months of dry pastries in Mexico, it’s so nice to enjoy some of our faves.}
We’ve been back in Albuquerque for about a month now and are settling into a bit of a routine, with Kyle back at work and me working on projects. But we’re also making time for fun, both with all the people we love here and some of our old favorite places in and around town. Here’s the view from here this week.
Also, while we’re here, lots has been happening in Oaxaca. Thanks so much to all of you who have touched base with us to ask what’s going on with the teacher protests in our beloved city and state. Here’s an article that does a good job of laying out some of the history leading up to this year’s protests. This is such a complicated issue with good and bad (& a lot of corruption) on both sides. And while the news has mainly spoken of violence and suffering, keep in mind that life is also going on as normal as possible for many people in the state. Please send a prayer or good vibes to all the people of Oaxaca during this difficult time.
