{Street Fireworks with the family. My mom bargained with the store manager and got all the fireworks for half off. So we had 90 minutes of fun for about $30.}
It’s my last full week in ABQ before heading back to Oaxaca for a month. So we spent it trying to cram in as much fun with as many people as we possibly could. Cookouts, birthday parties, fireworks, lunches and dinners and coffees with good friends, and time spent just the two of us. We’ve done it all this week. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we spent all that time soaking up everyone and everything and didn’t take many photos. In a time with so much violence and senseless killings happening all over the world, from Orlando to Turkey, Bangladesh to Baghdad, Saudi Arabia, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and now Dallas, we chose to spend our time this week building up our community of family and friends. So often during these times, it feels like there is nothing to do and the situation is hopeless. But we can all do small things to improve our own little piece of the world. We can all take a stand for life and love, with compassion and understanding. xoxo

{Some of the yummy salads at our 4th of July Celebration.}

{One of our fave local bars – Bosque Brewery’s Tap Room in Nob Hill. Such a beautiful space with really great beer and food. Bonus: it’s within walking distance from the house.}

{One more sushi fix before heading back to Mexico next week.}

{Colors of summer. Lavender in my mom’s garden.}
