    Five Things

    January 13, 2017 by Kat & Kyle Leave a Comment

    {Gigantes waiting for the party to start outside Santo Domingo church.}

    It’s a new year and we’ve been enjoying some of the January festivities here in Oaxaca, as the holiday season came to an end. Three King’s Day was this past week, and we enjoyed parades, watching people run to get their photos taken with the Kings, and Rosca de Reyes (King’s Cake – my favorite part!). Here are a few moments from our week around Oaxaca.

    {Bright paint job on this VW bug on the street near our apartment this week.}

    {Our Rosca de Reyes, from our favorite bakery. We went nontraditional with a pate a choux dough filled with custard, chantilly cream, and strawberries. It was delicious! Both Kyle and I found babies, which means we will both be buying the tamales for El Dia de Candelaria on Feb 2nd}

    {Fun street art in our neighborhood}

    {Men’s room at our favorite Tlayuda restaurant.}

    Since things are finally slowing down after the holidays, we’re taking a mini-vacation next week and heading for a bit of beachy sun! But we’ll still be sharing what we’re up to over on Facebook and Instagram.

    Que tengas una buena semana!
