{Found an old metal beer tray to contain our mezcal collection. Close up of the tray below.}
We’re down to two weeks left before we head back to the USA for the summer. And suddenly we are in that final rush to do all the things. Visit some of the places we kept putting off visiting. Maybe actually hang some art in our home. Hurry up and get the mosquito screens installed. Enjoy as much time as we can with friends before we all go our separate ways for a while.
You have so much time, until you don’t, and we keep stumbling on new little hidden gems in this town. So glad to call this place home and to know that means we’ll be back to continue exploring. As excited as we are to return to the states and see everyone, we’re just as sad to leave this place. Happy we get to have the best of both worlds. A little Mexico, both New and Old, is the perfect recipe for us!

{One of the Flamboyante trees – and a house guarded by Batman. Can you spot him?}
{Mondays are 2×1 Chilaquiles at one of our favorite fondas. They’re heated in the oven until they are bubbling hot and then served with fresh queso and crema.}

{You can hire this mariachi band to play at your events. A close up of their sign. I wonder if this is what they really look like.}
{Went out to sing karaoke with some friends this week. These Mexican guys we met won the show with their super emotional ballads. Everyone in the place was singing along, including us (with a little bit of help from the karaoke screen).}

{Close up look at the old beer tray. Found this in one of the antiques booths at the weekly market.}
