{You can always find a VW bug somewhere in this town. Love the detail on this one!}
This week, I’m back in Oaxaca (following bad weather in Texas that pushed my trip back two days) and Kyle is still in Albuquerque serving jury duty (he’s actually on a jury this week). Although I miss Kyle like crazy, it was so nice to come home to our own little place here in the center of this beautiful city.
So here’s my view from Oaxaca this week. A rather uneventful week as Oaxacan life goes. Many of the snowbirds have left to go back to the US and Canada, so it’s been a lot quieter and less crowded around here. But next week is Semana Santa, so I suspect it’s just the quiet before the storm. 🙂
This week pretty much consisted of me either working, walking, or eating.

{First meal I cooked after returning home – a quesadilla! Fresh corn tortilla, shredded Quesillo cheese, and squash flowers. Mi favorita!}

{Oaxaca is decked out for Easter with loads of purple and white decorations everywhere you look}

{Bowl of Aztec soup for lunch with friends this week. Aztec soup is a tomato based soup served with a plate of tortilla strips, chicharron, avocado, queso fresco, and small pieces of dried red chile on the side. You add in what you like, and complete it with a spoonful of salsa & a squeeze of lime.}

{One of my favorite little courtyards, tucked away on a side street not too far from my favorite cafe. Love these grand cacti!}
That’s it for this week! Next week: Top Five from ABQ and OAX. Happy Weekend!
