{Powerful street art in one of our favorite neighborhoods}
The rainy season finally seems to be coming to an end, and the ground is shaking much less than it has in the previous 6 weeks, and fall is definitely in the air (or at least as much as it ever is fall here). Things are starting to heat up in town as the season of Dia de Muertos is almost here – which is my favorite time of the year. We’re seeing more and more decorations in the street, and we’ve been to the mercado a few times to pick up the lovely papel picados for this holiday. A few views around town from the past week.

{We’re just chillaxin as the ground slowly shakes less and less}
Thanks so much for all your kind and supportive words and deeds as I’m slowly recovering from my earthquake hangover. The phantom quakes are occurring less and less – and the doctors say that my body is slowly resetting its equilibrium and nervous system. It just takes time. We are heading to Virginia next week for a wedding, and it will be interesting to see if I still feel motion there.
Happy Friday to you! Sending hugs and mezcal toasts from afar.
